Yes, dog licenses are due April 1st of each year. You must provide proof of rabies vaccination before the City will issue a license. The cost is $5.00 if an animal is fixed, $10.00 if not. Puppies under 6 months of age do not need registrations. Please stop by the City office to pick up your dog license.

If the dead animal is in the street, call the Public Works Department at 507-825-3622. If the dead animal is on private property you can put it in your garbage for collection
Sidewalks are required, by ordinance, to be cleaned of snow and ice within a reasonable amount of time. The reasonable length of time is considered to be twenty-four (24) hours after the ending of a snowfall. If this is not done, the City may have the sidewalk(s) cleaned and the property owner assessed for this service if no payment is not received within forty-five (45) days.
The County of Pipestone offers free disposal of large appliances and hazardous waste. Every Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pipestone County Recycling Center located at 718 4th Street NW in Pipestone.
Tires can be taken to Midland Tire, where they are accepted for a fee which covers the cost of them being recycled.

The sewer user fee included on your utility bill is used to fund operation and maintenance of the sanitary sewer collection system and treatment plant. No property taxes are used to finance these operations. The sewer use fees collected must be adequate to fund the collection and treatment of wastewater. (However, sales tax and general obligation bonds may fund the expense of replacement of sanitary sewer pipes in the collection system).
New customers who have not previously had City of Pipestone utilities in their name may either call the City Hall at 507-825-3324 or stop by the office. Existing customers that have had service in their name will request the necessary information to update the account and initiate services. A utility deposit of $125.00 is necessary to all new customers in the City of Pipestone.
