The Pipestone Water Department will begin its routine water main and hydrant flushing program on September 12 through October 7. During this time residents might notice discolored water. This in no way affects the safety of the water. If discoloration occurs, turn on all household faucets and let them run for several minutes to help clear the household pipes.
