The Schroeder Center is one of the newest additions to the City of Pipestone. The facility is home to the local Senior Center and Food Shelf.

The Pipestone Senior Center a non-profit organization governed by a local board and is open to anyone 55 years & older. It is a place to enjoy activities including Bingo, Pinochle, Puzzles, Board Games, & member birthday celebrations. Day trips are often scheduled, and computers are available with free Wi-Fi & Skype. In addition, several classes are available which include subjects like defensive driving, staying safe online, CPR training, etc.
