Finance Administration
- Works with department heads, City Clerk, and the City Administrator to develop the city’s annual budget
- Provides oversight of the annual audit, including preparation of necessary audit workpapers and providing assistance to auditors
- Completes the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
- Directs the management and investment of City funds in accordance with Minnesota law to ensure safety of principal and meeting cash flow needs for operations
- Keeps records of the city’s assets and liabilities
Utility Billing
- Prepares and processes monthly Water, Sewer, Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer, and Garbage bills.
- Assists property owners with changes relating to their utility billing accounts
- Works with account holders to rectify delinquent utility accounts
- Works with customers to set up automatic payment of utility services
- Prepares the assessment of unpaid utilities and services to the County
Utility Bills are sent out for the previous month's services and due to be paid on the
10th of every month.
Any payments not received by the due date will result in a late penalty. All unpaid accounts
will be certified to the County for collection with the property owner's property taxes
once annually.
